Homeopathy Treatment

When a child with JIA consults a rheumatologist, they are typically prescribed painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, methotrexate, and biologic agents.

While these medications can provide relief, they come with serious side effects, such as slowed growth, osteoporosis, bone marrow depression, liver toxicity, anemia, acidity, and indigestion.

Because of these risks, long-term use is not ideal, leading many parents to seek alternative treatments like homeopathy.

Our approach to homeopathy works in two important ways:

  1. Addressing the Root Cause: Since JIA is an autoimmune disorder, our treatment focuses on correcting the immune system’s malfunction. This is done using classical constitutional homeopathy, which aims to balance the immune system so that it stops attacking the body’s joints. Unlike over-the-counter homeopathic remedies, this tailored approach is necessary for effective JIA treatment, as readymade patent medicines can be harmful.
  2. Relieving Symptoms: Alongside the constitutional treatment, we use acute medicines to help reduce joint pain, swelling, and stiffness.

In my experience, since starting my practice in 1997, I’ve observed that this method can gradually reduce and eventually eliminate the need for allopathic medicines.

If homeopathy is introduced in the early stages of JIA, the improvement is quicker, and the condition can even be reversed.

In later stages, while homeopathy may not completely reverse the condition, it can still help control symptoms effectively.

It’s important for parents to be patient, as recovery with homeopathy tends to be gradual.

Homeopathy is known for being a safe, natural, and gentle approach with no side effects.

Number of Medicines

There are about 223 different homeopathic medicines that can be used for JIA. However, choosing the right medicine, determining the potency, and deciding how often it should be administered is a complex process that requires the expertise of a qualified and experienced doctor.

A responsible homeopath does not simply prescribe based on the disease’s name. Instead, a complete history and in-depth study of the patient’s symptoms are required to tailor the treatment to the individual’s needs.

Remember, “Homeopathy is not readymade; it is tailormade.” Each month, I review the patient’s progress and fine-tune the treatment accordingly.

The Importance of Choosing the Right Doctor

How much improvement you see in JIA depends on your choice of doctor. Just as banks conduct KYC (Know Your Customer), I believe patients should practice KYD – Know Your Doctor.

Why I Don’t Name Specific Medicines

In this blog, I haven’t named any medicines or endorsed any companies because doing so could jeopardize your health. A responsible doctor prioritizes patient safety over promoting specific remedies.
